Local Toy and Game Firm Announces Double Win at FAO Schwarz Toy Auditions

Wilmington, Delaware – Local toy and game design and manufacturing firm McNeill Designs announces that two of its original games were top winners at the recent FAO Schwarz Toy Auditions. Both the language game You’ve been Sentenced! and the memory game Twisted Fish were selected at the event, which was held at the FAO Schwarz flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

The Toy Auditions allow toy and game inventors from across the nation the unique opportunity to present their products in person to a panel of judges comprised of representatives of FAO Schwarz’s senior management.  FAO Schwarz conducts the Toy Auditions each year to seek unique, exciting, and special toys for their customers. FAO’s senior management scours every corner of the world for toys that customers just can’t find anywhere else.

Founded in 2004, McNeill’s 30+ person creative team produces games and toys of all kinds. The company’s audition-winning games include: You’ve been Sentenced! a language game where players use word cards to build sentences, challenging their ingenuity in a hilarious, competitive environment, and Twisted Fish a challenging memory game which requires strategy, deception, and bluffing skills, plus an intact sense of humor.

In addition to landing prominent placement at FAO Schwarz, nationwide response to the firm’s original games has been enthusiastic. McNeill Designs products have been featured in national publications such as the home schooling magazine The Old Schoolhouse, the highbrow language enthusiasts’ publication Verbatim, and on television for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

In addition to card and board games, McNeill Designs has rapidly expanded and diversified. In 2006, McNeill Designs partnered with the production company Positive Promotions in the development of a television game show.
